About this site

My grandfather founded the first daily newspaper in the Middle East in 1961. My father continued that legacy. I grew up understanding that journalism is not a profession. It is a responsibility.

I write about the Gulf, its strategy, its future, and its place in a world that has spent decades misreading it. My work covers geopolitics, regional power, Gulf economies, and the questions that do not get asked loudly enough.

DESIGNED TO BURN is my current series, six parts documenting who dismantled the Middle East and why. It is written from inside the region, not from Washington or London. Every claim is sourced to named documents and named officials. Nothing in it is speculation.

Future work will cover Gulf economic transformation, Kuwait, the GCC's strategic choices, and what genuine regional sovereignty requires in practice.

I am a Kuwaiti analyst and writer. I publish independently under my own name.
